Silhouette InstaLift
Consultations offered at our three convenient locations in Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX and Westlake Hills, TX
The Silhouette InstaLift® is a non-surgical procedure designed to not just lift, but reposition sagging skin in the face and cheeks through the use of absorbable micro-cones and sutures. The sutures and cones are made from a safe, biocompatible material called poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (PLGA) which is also used in other medical procedures for grafting, prosthetics, and sutures. (1) The sutures and cones help stimulate the production of collagen in the face, rejuvenating the skin and its elasticity. Silhouette InstaLift® offers patients a chance to restore youth to the face without the risks associated with more invasive surgeries.
At Austin Plastic Surgeon, we are dedicated to helping our patients feel confident in their skin. We consistently offer only the most premium experiences for our guests, which is why it is our priority to offer advanced treatments like Silhouette InstaLift.

About Silhouette InstaLift
A Silhouette InstaLift® provides notable results immediately after your treatment. After the appointment, patients will notice an instant lift and tighter-looking skin. This procedure is also minimally invasive and non-surgical, making it a great choice for patients interested in impactful results without any potential scarring.
Another benefit of this new technology is that it also offers gradual results, continuously stimulating the production of collagen in the months following the procedure. (2) This means your skin continues to get more firm and youthful-looking as time goes on. The Silhouette InstaLift procedure is quick, often taking less than an hour to complete. Because of the non-surgical, minimally invasive, methods, this treatment requires virtually no downtime. After receiving the treatment, patients can essentially return back to most normal activities instantly.
Candidates
All candidates interested in Silhouette InstaLift® should be in good overall health. Candidates are often those who are seeking a way to lift and tighten their facial appearance without the use of invasive surgical techniques. Silhouette InstaLift® is an ideal procedure for those suffering from mild skin laxity and sagging or for those who want to achieve a more natural-looking enhancement, compared to the more dramatic results of a traditional facelift.

Personal Consultation
We ask that each patient at Austin Plastic Surgeon schedule a personal consultation before their procedure. This is a chance for our team to sit down with each patient to get to know them on a more personal level, as well as understand their goals and aesthetic preferences. After learning more about your situation, your Austin Plastic Surgeon professional will start strategizing the best suture placements to help you achieve the most effective lift. Any necessary preparation instructions will be provided as well as a cost estimate of the treatment. Patients are encouraged to use their consultations to address any questions or concerns they have before scheduling their treatment.

Procedure
A local anesthetic is first applied to maximize patient comfort. Your Austin Plastic Surgeon professional will then use a small needle to insert the Silhouette InstaLift® sutures into the skin. The cones are bidirectional, allowing them to lift the skin without slipping. (3) The sutures are then trimmed after the desired placements have been achieved. This procedure is non-surgical and quick, usually taking less than an hour to complete.

FAQ
What is Silhouette InstaLift?

What are the Silhouette InstaLift sutures made out of?
The cones and the sutures used in the Silhouette InstaLift are made out of poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (PLGA), a biodegradable and biocompatible material commonly used in grafts, prosthetics, and other indications.
Who would be an ideal candidate for Silhouette InstaLift®?
The ideal candidate for a Silhouette InstaLift® is anyone who is experiencing mild sagging or laxity in their mid-face, cheeks, or neck. Candidates seeking Silhouette InstaLift® are often those who are looking for a non-surgical alternative to a traditional facelift that still provides impactful results. Patients with severe facial sagging may benefit more from a surgical facelift.

The procedure can take anywhere between 30-60 minutes, depending on how large the treatment area is and the number of sutures being used.
How long will the results of my Silhouette InstaLift® last?
Patients can see noticeable improvements instantly, but they can expect to continue to see gradual improvements over the next 3-6 months following the procedure. The full effects of the procedure can last up to 2 years. This length of time can vary depending on lifestyle factors, environmental factors, and the natural processes of aging.
Is Silhouette InstaLift® painful?
A local anesthetic is used during the Silhouette InstaLift procedure to maximize patient comfort. Redness and tenderness are normal to experience after the procedure, but these symptoms will likely subside on their own.
Is there a recovery period after Silhouette InstaLift?
No, there is essentially no recovery period required for this procedure. While patients may notice redness or experience a light soreness, these effects will subside within the first 24-48 hours following the procedure. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately. However, patients should continue to be mindful about the time they spend in the sun, and try to protect their skin to prevent accelerated aging.
