The world of body contouring and fat reduction has always been intriguing, especially when we talk about non-invasive options. The question is always how effective are these treatments and who is a good candidate for Coolsculpting and EON.
Non-invasive fat reduction Devices:
Non-invasive options have always been intriguing to patients as they have minimal to no downtime. They can often be done over a lunch break or an afternoon off. The first question that I commonly receive about Coolsculpting and EON is do they work – the answer is yes, but we can’t expect the same result as liposuction or a tummy tuck. One of the most common non-invasive fat reduction devices is Coolsculpting which helps to reduce fat in targeted areas such as the abdomen or love handles. It can be used in a wide variety of areas all over the body. The new and most exciting device in this category is called EON, which a contactless laser liposuction. The robotic arm of the EON laser is programmed to target the specific area of desired fat reduction. This new device has been shown to achieve a 20% fat reduction in one session!
Good candidates for non-invasive treatments are patients that have very specific areas they want to treat. It works best for patients that need minor to mild amount of fat reduction in specific areas. There are also some areas that at times are better treated by these non-invasive methods then surgery. An example is the banana roll on the back of the thighs, because of the structures that support the butt it can be difficult to treat with liposuction, however it responds very well to EON fat reduction. It is also a great option for patients that have a limited amount of downtime as most of these treatments do not have any restrictions and patients can resume their activities immediately.
Patients will present to their provider for a consultation on their non-invasive fat reduction treatment such as EON or Coolsculpting. During this evaluation your provider will determine if EON is a good treatment for you and how many treatments you will need to achieve your desired results.
Typically these non-invasive procedures are less expensive when compared to surgery, however that depends on the number of areas that need to be treated and that can be determined at your consultation. This is where having a consultation with a provider that can help guide you about the different options is extremely important to helping you achieve your aesthetic goals.
