Joseph “Joe” Rubio, PA-C

Joseph “Joe” Rubio, PA-C, is thrilled to join Austin Plastic Surgeon and to lead the wellness and weight loss programs at the San Antonio location.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Joe obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. While completing this degree, he worked in the local ER to gain experience and medical knowledge. After graduating summa cum laude, he then attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center where he completed his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. While attending UNTHSC, he was trained in Family Medicine and was also able to spend time in multiple subspecialties – as well as serving the underprivileged communities in the DFW area. Joe comes to APS with a background primarily in Emergency Medicine. He is excited to spearhead the wellness and weight loss programs at the San Antonio location. Joe believes that you know your body best and is excited to help you become the best version of yourself.

In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. They have loved living in the San Antonio area and are thrilled to be a part of the Austin Plastic Surgeon family.
