MyEllevate Procedure Steps

The MyEllevate neck lift treatment takes about one hour to perform in our Austin office under local anesthesia. Our expert plastic surgeons utilize a light-guided suture suspension technique beneath the skin and strategically tighten the neck skin after the platysmal bands have been released. They will make 8 very small incision points under the chin and behind the ears to “weave” the suture under the skin. 

Your surgeon will place the suture suspension precisely under the skin using the novel light-guided system, allowing for greater accuracy. The color of the light will indicate the exact depth of the probe, advising the surgeon to stay within the layer between the skin and the platysma muscle. ⁽¹⁾ If the light turns to a different color, it indicates that they are inserting the probe too deeply or too superficially. After going through all of the 1 mm incisions, they will anchor the suture at the first entry point. You will be able to go home with only a supportive chin strap almost immediately after the procedure. 

MyEllevate v.s. Thread Lift

MyEllevate sutures are made from biocompatible, polyester material that directly overlies the platysma muscle, whereas thread lifts utilize sutures made of dissolvable polydioxanone.
