About Motiva Implants

We are excited to introduce the state-of-the-art Motiva 6th-generation breast implant to help our patients reach their body goals. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular procedures performed in plastic surgery. It is therefore essential to have a clear understanding of your personal aesthetic goals and how they align with the latest available breast implant options. So, what’s different about Motiva’s new 6th-generation breast implants?

TrueMonobloc® Construction

TrueMonobloc® breast implants like Motiva are silicone gel-based implants formed as a single cohesive unit. This type of implant design creates durability and a reduced chance of complications stemming from ruptures, rippling, and deflations. The cohesive gel within these implants allows them to be easily inserted and maintain their shape while providing a natural look and feel.

Advanced SuperSilicone® Gel

Motiva implants are filled with an advanced elastic silicone gel that incorporates the latest technological advancements in implant design. They feature a highly cohesive form of silicone that mimics the natural feel of breast tissue and a smooth, ergonomic shape that adapts to your body’s movements:

  • ProgressiveGel PLUS®: A firmer gel that provides a rounder shape, fuller cleavage, and increases breast projection
  • ProgressiveGel Ultima®: A softer, more flexible gel that provides a teardrop shape and mimics the feel and look of natural breast tissue
  • Advantages:
  • The Progressive Gel can be used in patients that have ozempic breasts as they have very thin skin and a limited amount of tissue to cover the implant. This new gel helps decrease the risk of rippling.
  • The Progressive Gel decreases the risk of rippling in patients who have a subfascial implant.

Motiva Silk Smooth Implants

Motiva’s pioneering Microthane® surface creates a nano-texturing that results in a lower risk of capsular contracture in both the submuscular and subfascial positions. Motiva implants stand out for their advanced technology, safety features, and aesthetic outcomes. They offer a customized fit and reduce the risk of complications. The elastic gel capsule mimics the movement of natural breast tissue and moves fluidly with your body.

BluSeal® Safety Coating

The biocompatible BluSeal® coating reduces the risk of complications by allowing your surgeon to easily analyze the integrity of the implant shell. This helps your surgeon quickly confirm the quality of your implants before the procedure since each implant is custom-ordered based on your aesthetic goals.

Optional Feature for Patient Safety: Radiofrequency Identification (RFID) Technology

Qid® is a safety feature that helps your surgeon quickly identify the manufacture date of your implants by scanning them with a handheld device. Q Inside Safety Technology™ makes switching them out a smoother process when you are ready to replace them.

At Austin Plastic Surgeon, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality care and innovative solutions like Motiva to help you achieve your cosmetic goals with confidence. If you are interested in more information, please complete this form to schedule your consultation.

Advanced 6th-Generation Implants

Motiva SmoothSilk® Round

Motiva SmoothSilk® Round implants can help you improve the projection of your breasts and achieve fuller cleavage. The implants are filled with ProgressiveGel PLUS– a firmer silicone gel that fills out the upper pole of the breasts for a natural, plumper, and perkier appearance. The implant provides a soft but slightly more cohesive implant so it is ideal for patients who would like more support and projection. If you prefer a fuller, rounder breast shape, this implant can help you achieve beautiful, natural-looking cleavage.

Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix2®

Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix2® implants move fluidly with your body and their teardrop shape provides a more natural look. They are filled with ProgressiveGel Ultima– a dynamic and flexible gel that is softer than Motiva SmoothSilk® Round implants. The dynamic gel mimics the shape, feel, and movement of natural breasts more closely. The sloped shape of the implant stretches the lower breast pole slightly for a softer appearance.

Candidates for Motiva Implants

Motiva implants are suitable for a wide range of candidates. Ideal candidates include individuals who:

  • Are in good overall health and have realistic expectations
  • Desire a natural-looking enhancement with minimal risk of complications
  • Would like advanced technology designed for comfort and longevity
  • Have fully developed breasts and are at least 18 years old
  • Patients with Ozempic Breasts
  • Patients with subfascial breast implants
  • Patients who want to avoid capsular contracture
  • Patients who have a history of capsular contracture

Suitable candidates for breast augmentation take good care of their bodies and have realistic expectations about what they can achieve with the procedure. If you have breasts that are spaced far apart, with little breast tissue, are asymmetrical, or have areolas that are misshapen– a condition known as hypoplasia– (2) we can help you achieve a more balanced look with Motiva implants.

Personal Consultation

During your consultation at Austin Plastic Surgeon, our team will discuss your goals and perform a physical examination to determine a personalized treatment plan for your desired breast size and shape. We will also ask about your lifestyle, medical history, and current medications to determine whether or not the procedure will help you achieve your body goals. We will discuss the type and best position for the implant to help you achieve a natural result. We can also discuss the best type of incision based on the size of the implant and your body proportions. Please come prepared to ask any questions you have.

Motiva for Breast Revision

If you already have implants and need a breast revision we can replace your current implants with the latest Motiva 6th-generation implants. Due to their flexible nature and smooth nanotextured surface, many patients find that Motiva implants are more comfortable and feel more like natural breast tissue. Some patients who undergo breast revision would like to increase or decrease the volume of their breasts to rebalance their proportions after changes to their bodies from aging or pregnancy.

If your older implants ruptured, replacing them with Motiva offers a longer-lasting solution with a far lower chance of rupture. Please come to your consultation prepared to discuss the look you would like to achieve.

Preparation

To prepare for breast augmentation with Motiva implants, you will need to:

  • Stop taking medications and supplements that thin your blood
  • Refrain from drinking alcohol 24 hours before and after your procedure
  • Cease smoking for approximately 6 weeks before and after your procedure
  • Arrange for a trusted adult to drive you home
  • Take time off work to recover and allow your body to heal
  • Prepare your meals ahead of time for a smoother recovery

You will also need to avoid sun exposure or tanning beds that could damage your skin and cause us to delay your appointment. You will need to be prepared to take some time off work to rest and allow your body to recover.

Breast Augmentation Procedure

During your procedure, we will cleanse your skin and your anesthesiologist will place you under anesthesia. We will make small, discrete incisions along the natural creases of your skin to place the implant and create your desired shape and volume. Motiva implants are designed for minimal scarring and we can insert them through smaller incisions. We can place the implant above or below the chest muscle, depending on the look you would like to achieve.

Depending on your breast shape and the structure of underlying tissue, we may make deeper sutures to keep the implant in place and prevent it from shifting or “bottoming out.” We can place the implant in front of the chest muscle (subglandular placement) or behind it (submuscular placement) based on your underlying anatomy and the projection you would like to achieve. We will make a close-fitting pocket to place the implant to prevent it from expanding. (3) After we place the implant, we will close the incision with sutures and you can return home to rest immediately afterward.

Recovery & Results

Recovery from Motiva implant surgery is generally straightforward. You can expect some swelling and tenderness initially, but most patients resume normal activities within a few days. The implants are designed for long-term durability, and with proper care, you can enjoy beautiful, natural-looking results for years to come. Taking time to eat healthy meals and rest can help the implants settle into your skin for beautiful volume and a fuller look.

Breast Augmentation Lift

If you have droopy skin, we can also combine breast augmentation with a breast lift to reposition your breasts for a more youthful form. Although breast augmentation can increase the size of your breasts, the procedure cannot lift them or remove droopy skin. If you recently experienced weight changes, pregnancy, or are self-conscious about droopy skin we can perform a breast lift to remove the excess tissue and raise your breasts to a higher position.

A perkier, curvier breast profile can improve your self-esteem and your relationship with your body. A breast lift is especially helpful for patients who recently lost weight and are struggling with “Ozempic breast,” a condition that results in excess droopy skin that affects body proportions.
